Wood flooring solutions - historically inspired
Diverse, yet unified
In past centuries, opulent parquet floors – laid in herringbone or panel patterns – were often found in the prestigious reception rooms of affluent households: true works of art. Private rooms, guest- and bedrooms, on the other hand, were usually fitted with simpler yet equally high-quality and long-lasting plank floors. We have taken inspiration from this idea: all of our herringbone, panel and plank floors are available in every TRAPA color, grade and texture.
This opens up unique possibilities for cohesive overall concepts, like the example shown here (photo): herringbone on the ground floor, connected by a staircase to plank flooring on the upper level – all made from the same wood: Oak Lugano, knotty, brushed – but laid in different patterns according to the various rooms.
