20 years TRAPA
TRAPA floors enrich high-quality furnished living spaces and prove their worth in top hotels, restaurants, offices, schools, kindergartens, residential complexes, fitness centers and clinics. Their sophisticated design and high quality have also earned TRAPA natural wood floors a high international reputation.
TRAPA (TRAunkirchner PArkett) was founded in 2001 by Hermann Hörndler for the distribution of exclusive natural wood floors. In 2005 he started a manufactory for the surface treatment of the floors and began to develop important export markets such as Germany, Switzerland and Italy.
In 2009, TRAPA expanded its Traunkirchen location with new showrooms, production and storage facilities. In 2012, a parquet plant in St. Veit a. d. Glan (Carinthia) was acquired, today's TRAPA GmbH.
For the TRAPA'S the harmony of all living elements is important. Therefore, in 2015 they added specially designed tables, furniture and walls to the TRAPA range of natural wood floors and stairs. The perfect visual and tactile coordination of the individual components is a particular strength of the company. TRAPA sales partners, architects and builders can see this for themselves in a 1,200 m² exhibition that has just opened in Traunkirchen.
The product development, marketing, sales and administration departments are also located here at Lake Traunsee. All TRAPA products are produced at the TRAPA plant in St. Veit a. d. Glan - by around 70 qualified employees.
