Dignified, simple, stable

The historical inspiration for this large dining table was found in monastic dining rooms. And just like its role models, the WT radiates a dignified, austere simplicity. The two-part table top made of solid wood is connected to the legs by a handcrafted, metal-free dovetail batten. The bevelled edge on the underside makes the table top appear lighter and softer.

Traditional dovetail batten

Craftsmanship in perfection: The legs and tops of this table are joined together using carefully milled dovetail batten. This traditional, metal and glue-free joint prevents the large panels from warping. Such dovetail battens are a sign of high-quality craftsmanship in solid wood joinery. 100 kg in weight, yet visually light. The table top is bevelled outwards at a flat 7° angle. This provides the solid oak table with a playful "lightness".
